    Description

    This is the
    VERMONT
state medal, minted in 1973 by the Franklin Mint for the
Governors Edition States Of The Union
    collection.
The medal weighs roughly 1.093 troy ounces (about 33-34 grams) of .925 sterling silver.
    Calculated: 1 troy ounce = 31.103 grams
    34g/31.103g = 1.093 troy oz.
Meaning this has 1.01 troy ounces of pure silver content
It measures 1-1/2" in diameter and 3 mm in thickness.  It is stamped "STERLING" and has 4 hallmarks:
"C" in a circle = Notice of Copyright
The Franklin Mint symbol - a capital "F" with a stretched "M" across the middle, in a small square
The year minted, in a small square.  For this item - "73" means 1973
"P", in a small square, to indicate a Proof finish
I have only touched it with latex glove covered hands.  It will be sent in a plain "jewelry box" for protection and storage.  (Sorry about the size of the pictures; I just wanted to show as much detail as possible.)
The value of this superb vintage art medal is more than just the silver; it is a beautiful, frosty, sterling silver proof from a limited edition collection minted nearly 50 years ago*.  If you collect statehood collectibles, these are in your roundhouse.  I only have one of each*.
If ordering more than one state, please ask for an invoice so that I can combine shipping and save you some "coin".
    * Because of these two facts, the price is commensurate.
I want to say "Thank You" for viewing this collectible.
